7:00 AM ALL Walkers check-in or register at the event.
7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Secret Roving Judging: See below FAQ section
8:00AM Opening ceremony. Event walk to follow
9:30 AM - 11:45 AM Enjoy the live entertainment, vendors, dog adoptions, raffles, silent auction
12:00 PM Event approximately ends at noon.

The community is welcome to join us for this FREE fun morning dog event. 
Wag 'n Walk (charity dog walk) is a 3 mile walk around the park and surrounding areas. This event helps raise funds for Animal Rescue Volunteers to continue their efforts in saving more lives.

Location: Rancho Simi Community Park, at the amphitheater, 1765 Royal Ave, Simi Valley, CA
Register: Free! We encourage all walkers to register to help us raise funds. You then have the option to create your own fundraising page! You can invite your friends and family to help you reach your goal amount. You can even create teams! Walkers who raise at least $100 receive a goodie bag and an event T-shirt.

Event Details:
 
 There will be secret roving judges who will be awarding prizes to you and your dog, see details below in FAQ.  raffle and silent auction will run during the entire event. Bid for items and check back to ensure you're still the top bidder. Tremendous deals have been won at previous events! At the end of the event, payments are collected and auction items are distributed. Winner need not be present for silent auction but must be present for raffle items.

  • Pet Contest - categories are: Biggest Ears, Smallest Ears, Happiest Tail, Best Costume, Cutest Couple, Longest Tail, Best Dancer, Largest, Smallest, and Best Trick.  Judging between 7 am - 8 am.
Fundraising prizes will be awarded to the 3 top fundraisers.  To be eligible for the 3 top prizes, all money must be received by 5 pm on Sept 24th via mail or by midnight Sept 25th via your fundraising page using Paypal. Teams are NOT eligible for the 3 top prizes.

What is the fee to register?
It is FREE to be a walker at our event. This event is a charity dog walk that encourages the walkers to help raise funds so Animal Rescue Volunteers can continue their work to rescue more animals. You can make your own fundraising page which will allow you to set a goal amount to help us raises funds for our cause. You can direct friends and family to your personal webpage to help reach your goal.

I have a sponsor that prefers to mail in her to donation. Is there a form?
Yes, if you’re sponsor prefers to mail in the donation, Click here for the form
Have your sponsor complete and mail to the address on the form.

 What is "Secret Roving Judging"? The Secret Roving Judging is a few undisclosed ARV volunteers that will rove (walk around) among the attendees during the hours of 7AM - 8AM. They will be judging various categories (see above under event details). To be considered, please be at the event at the designated time of 7AM - 8AM. Winners will be announced after the walk.

Animal Rescue Volunteers does not maintain a costly facility or paid staff, so ALL monies raised at the Wag n' Walk go directly to benefiting homeless animals.
